The New Economy Industry Council: shaping the future of high-tech growth in Arizona

The state of Arizona’s New Economy Initiative aims to improve Arizona’s competitiveness in emerging high-tech sectors that offer unprecedented opportunity to create jobs and drive industrial growth. ASU’s New Economy Initiative assignment from the state is to drive research, technological innovation and workforce development — and to fulfill this role, ASU established the New Economy Industry Council as a platform for leadership, advocacy and collaboration across diverse high-tech enterprises.

Convening industry partners, academic experts and civic leaders, the New Economy Industry Council is proactively addressing the workforce, technology and resource challenges facing Arizona. Through the Council, ASU and a growing network of high-tech enterprises are collaborating to align expertise, resources, human capital and infrastructure to ensure a future of sustained prosperity for Arizona.
